OUR HISTORY

Mill House Properties was formed in 2002 by Adam W. Jones after a long career in advertising. While in advertising, Adam began to invest in fixer upper houses in the Chapel Hill/Carrboro area. His first several projects were actual mill houses in the Carr Mill Mall area of Carrboro…hence the name Mill House. Back then, Adam worked all week at his real job then worked on his houses on the weekends. He did most of the renovation work himself, but called in vendors when certain projects were in need of an expert. His weekend warrior hobby turned into a full-time job after the advertising agency where he worked lost its biggest account. He turned to real estate as his next career move.

Adam purchased an existing property management firm early on and acted as property manager, leasing agent and maintenance man for several years. Once Mill House grew to over 150 properties Adam began to hire staff so he could focus on new clients, investor sales and acquisitions.

Mill House Properties offers student and professional rentals and management in the Chapel Hill/Carrboro area (UNC-Chapel Hill) and in the Durham area (Duke University). Also, we now handle Homeowner Association Management (HOA) in the Chapel Hill/Carrboro/Pittsboro areas.

Mill House continues to look for steady growth over the coming years and to strive for its goal to be the best property management company in the area with the best quality housing.

If you are looking to rent, buy, sell or need a new HOA manager then we need to talk. Mill House Properties is here and ready to help with any of your real estate needs.
