Tenant Selection
Mill House rents mainly to undergraduate and graduate students who attend Carolina, however we do have a good number of professional rentals in the Chapel Hill/Carrboro area as well.

• All prospective tenants fill out our online Application.
• All students are required to provide a signed and notarized Parental Guarantee.
• All non-students go through our standard procedure of a background check, credit check, provide past rental history and provide employment verification.
• All tenants are required to pay a Security Deposit equal to one month’s rent.
• At move in, our tenants receive a Move-In Packet, which contains rules and regulations for their specific housing (whether a condo complex, apartment building or house), a Move-in Inspection Form and our Mill House “Be A Good Neighbor” fact sheet.
